Alan Norris

Bangor - Alan Dale Norris, 58, of Bangor, Maine, died unexpectedly at his home October 11, 2025. He was born September 30, 1967, in Stuttgart, Germany.

After graduating from Ellsworth high in 1985, he served in the Army during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged and came back home to Maine, where he met his wife, April.

He worked with his brothers until he retired. He was a member in good standing with the Masons (Archon lodge). He was also a Shriner in Bangor, ME. But, his calling was being a track coach at Central High School, where he touched the lives of many student athletes.

He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Norris and Norma Norris, and his wife, April.

He is survived by his brothers, Paul Norris and Mark and Linda Norris.

He left behind some special people. His stepson, Nicholas Barrett and his partner, Alexis. As well as a very special girl, Kenzie. A long-time family friend, Shawn Witham; aunt, Philipa Libby; cousins, Pauline Miller and George Miller, Patrick and Kate Norris, and Stephanie and Kyle Dickey; nieces, Ashley Dyer, Brittany Norris, Allison Norris, Erin Pontbriand of Steep Falls, Maine; nephews, Chad Hartley of Stetson, Maine, and Bronsen Hartley of Vorhees, New Jersey; great nieces, Rori and Logan Hartley; great nephews, Solomon and Quinn Dier and Desmond Pontbriand.

The burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Brewer, Maine, at 10am on Saturday, November 22nd.

Celebration of life will be at the Shriners, Bangor, ME, on the 14th of December from 1pm to 3pm.
