Allen Drucker, 78 years of age, of Holden, ME passed away on July 8, 2025 at a Bangor hospital.
He was born in Brooklyn, NYC on January 22, 1947 to Frank and Cecile Drucker.
Though Allen moved to Maine to attend UMO, he never forgot his New York roots. Allen was the Mets baseball team's number one fan. While in the hospital, he was thrilled that he could watch the Mets from his bed. He even purchased two Shea stadium seats in 2008 before Citifield was built in 2009. Allen was a life long musical theater lover and saw many Broadway shows through the decades. While in New York, he loved eating at the many ethnic restaurants. The hotter the food, the better. Allen's second marriage took place at the Manhattan City Hall. He delighted in showing Jennifer Drucker the city he loved so well. He remains one of the best NYC guides.
Reading the latest fiction and keeping up with movies was how Allen relaxed. He was a tough critic. He remained up to date with the world's current events right to the end of his life.
Allen maintained a counseling practice for 31 years at 109 State Street in Bangor. His strong belief in serving community kept him motivated. It was a great source of pride to Allen that up to a few years ago, he attended the yearly International Ericksonian Conference.
Parenting came to Allen through his stepdaughters: Cate McMahon of Florida and Fiona McMahon of New Jersey.
Jennifer and Allen will be forever grateful for the love and support of two very dear friends: William Neely and Christopher Garrison. Their visits and phone calls meant the world to Allen.
A message for Hank who was Allen's favorite cat: Allen has come home.
