Barbara June (Davis) Allen, 73, passed away in her sleep unexpectedly on April 24, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1951 in Lincoln, ME, the daughter of Amy (Gordon) and Keith Davis.
Barbara graduated from Schenck High School in 1970 and joined the Air Force in June of the same year. Soon after returning home, she met and married Paul Gagnon. They settled in Millinocket, Maine and raised their 2 daughters while starting a handful of business ventures, including In-House Printing.
A new chapter began for Barbara when she returned to school in 1999. She relocated to Bangor to be closer to her daughters, and began working at EMMC as a kidney dialysis technician, a job she loved and thrived at. She reluctantly retired from her dream job after a sudden medical event, but continued to be a natural caretaker and supportive force of nature to everyone she knew and loved. Her pure spirit, open heart and joyous laughter created such a bright light in the world, and her strength and faith in God was beyond inspirational.
Barbara was preceeded in death by both parents; and her second husband, Fred Allen; as well as two nephews. She is survived by daughters, Kelly Gagnon and her husband, Eric Lane, and Julie Gagnon; as well as her adoring grandchildren, Parker Tenney and Naima Caruso. Barbara is also survived by her sisters, Diane Faloon and Sandra Davis; and her brothers, Rick and Mike Davis. The family would also like to acknowledge our very close family friend, Greg Boober Sr, who she appreciated so very much.
With all of Barbara's adorable stubbornness and love for her family, she requested no service, and asked for everyone to remember her in the beautiful moments of the past and future. Please see her in the stars and sunsets, feel her grace in the wind and waves and know that her love is eternal, as she rests with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
