Barbara Murray

Hampden - It is with great sadness that the family must share the passing of Barbara Murray on March 4, 2025. Born in Bangor on August 1,1957 to Edward and Joan Tribou of Hampden. She was a lifelong resident of Hampden, where she graduated from Hampden Academy in 1975. 

 Barb was predeceased by Mother, Joan Barbara Ferguson, Father, Edward "Bud" Alden Tribou of Hampden and daughter, Emily Elizabeth Murray of Winterport. She is survived by daughter, Sarah Louise Murray of Bangor and grandson, Hunter Alden Murray of Hermon. Barb furthered her education by earning a master's degree at University of Maine and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. 

  She will be forever remembered for her compassion to help others and her dedication to family and friends. Barb loved her animals and would be found spending most of her free time at horse shows, haying, or working in the barn. She had a special ability to connect children with special needs to horses for equine therapy, which helped many. 

 Please come join us for her burial service held at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Hampden on July 19, 2025 at 10am. Followed by a celebration of life with family and friends in Newburgh.
