Barry Lee Wyman Sr.

CARMEL-Barry L. Wyman, Sr., 79, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2026 at Northern Light Hospital, due to complications from diabetes. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Pittsfield, Maine, son of Franklin and Mildred (Pierce) Wyman. He grew up the youngest of six siblings, Stanley, Barbara, Elaine, Betty, Gloria and Janice. He graduated from MCI in Pittsfield and was employed at Irving Tanning in Hartland. He was also in the Army National Guard for eight years. Afterward, he was employed by the State of Maine where he retired after 28 years.

Barry enjoyed camping with family and friends for many years. He was a fan of watching NASCAR and liked to work with his hands, building and crafting.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, June; his stepdaughters and their spouses, Denise & Wade Wilson, Deb & Terry Harris, Darlene & Dan Wilson and Darla Merrithew; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren, whom they loved spending time with; many nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He was predeceased by his stepson, Daniel Preble; his son, Barry Wyman, Jr.; his parents; siblings; and infant sister.

Barry will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be on August 8th from 1:00-3:00, at the Carmel Snowmobile Club, 210 Hampden Rd, Carmel, ME.
