Dan K. Grover, Sr., 67, died June 11, 2024, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 20, 1957, in Bangor, the son of Leslie E. and Marlene (Young) Grover.

Dan was a lifetime Orrington resident, running a well-known excavation company for many decades. He spent time as a volunteer at the Orrington Fire Station and will be remembered as dedicated and hard-working to everyone around him.

In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by step-brothers Gary and Jim Nelligan, and a sister-in-law, Peggy. He is survived by his son, Dan K. Grover II. and his wife, Carrie, of Orrington; daughter, Kristie Malek and her husband, Josh, of Milford; two special grandchildren, Alexa Grover and Marissa Grover; three brothers, Darrell Grover and his wife, Guyla, of New Mexico, Dennis Grover and his wife, Cindy, of Bangor, Howard Grover and partner, Donna, of Bucksport; step-siblings Lorrie Goodrich and husband Al, Rosemary Nelligan, and Mike Nelligan; stepchildren, Terry, Missy, Donny, Keith, Alisha, and Chad. He is also survived by Kim Sibley “OG” (Original Mrs. Grover) the mother of Dan’s son and daughter, of Hudson; a very special cousin, Kaileen Runnells and her husband, Brian, of Stetson.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family in a celebration of life from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, at East Orrington Congregational Church, 38 Johnson Mill Rd, Orrington.
