Deborah Sue Ellis 1953-2026

Glenburn - Deborah Sue Ellis 72 passed away peacefully in a local hospital early Sunday morning on June 7, 2026.

Deborah was born in Kit Carson Colorado on August 4, 1953 to Preston Manual and Shirley Jean (Roberts) Manual.

Deborah loved gardening, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Deborah had many jobs, but she always said her favorite was being a nurse. Deborah worked in several nursing homes in New Mexico, California, Colorado and Maine. She also did private duty nursing in people's homes in Colorado.

In May of 1995, Deborah married her soulmate Ed (Ensign) Ellis. They were very happy together until Ed's passing in August 2024. Together they enjoyed all of their furry kids: 3 Rottweiler's (Max, Molly and Butch), 2 Black Labs (Dudley and Ellie), a Pomeranian/Husky mix (Sweetie) and a Pomeranian/Chihuahua (Baxter), After Ed and Baxter died, Deborah felt the house was empty, so she got another puppy. A Chihuahua named Daisy.

Deborah is survived by her children: Kimberly Harris and her partner Ralph Boynton, Bridget Baird, husband Jeff of Pace Florida, Preston Harris of Glenburn, Bonus son Todd Ellis, wife Sara of Orono, 2 sister-in-law's: Charmaine Morrison and husband Harold of Bucksport and Donna Hultbert of North Carolina, Grandchildren: Samantha Maruil and husband Daniel of Guam, Tiffany Thacker and husband Greg of South Carolina, Chance Baird of Pace Florida, bonus grandson's: Wyatt and Andre Ellis of Orono and 2 great grandchildren from South Carolina.

Deborah is survived by 2 aunts: Maxie Fontenot of Mamou Louisiana and Susan Talbot of Florissant Colorado, her bonus dad Kenneth Carlson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Deborah was predeceased by her husband, parents and sister.
