BANGOR – Donald F. “Don” Sanborn passed peacefully February 13, 2026, at the age of 92. He was born in Old Town, Maine in 1933.

He was a scout master for several years and a proud, distinguished member of the Eagles Club in Brewer, holding several levels of office. After his retirement, he and Jean moved to their camp on East Grand Lake in Danforth, Maine and lived there for the next 8 years.
In 2007, due to ill-health, they moved to Hampden where they resided until Jean’s death in 2010. Don then moved back to Bangor. In 2014, dementia began to take over Don's life and latterly he resided at Ross Manor until his passing.
