Donna Helen Herbert

Donna Helen (Upton) Herbert, 87, of Bangor, Maine passed away on January 29, 2026. She was born in Madison, Maine on Feb. 21,1938, to Linwood and Anita Upton.

Donna graduated from Bucksport High School in 1956 and went on to attend The Northern Conservatory of Music in Bangor, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. Following her graduation, she married Richard Woodworth of Bar Harbor, on June 11, 1960. In later years, she was also married for 33 years to William Shackelford of Guymon, OK.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald, Kenneth, and James Woodworth all of Bangor, Maine; her sister, Linda and her husband, Jim Crockett and their children of Richland, Washington; and her brother, David and his wife, Jackie Upton and their children of Wells, Maine.

She was predeceased by her parents and youngest son, Paul.

Her ashes will be scattered at Ledgelawn Cemetery at a later date.
