Earl Thomas

Earl Thomas, St. Francis, Maine, 76 died on June 22, 2025, at a Bangor Maine hosptial.
He was born on November 11, 1948 in St. Francis, Maine. Son of Eldon Thomas and Marie (Oaks) Thomas.

Earl served in the U.s Army in Fort Lewis, Washington from
1965 - 1968. After the war he worked in the Northern Maine woods as a longer. He was a skilled carpenter and loved to remodel old homes and build new ones. Earl worked in maintenance for an elderly home for many years in Connecticut.

Earl married Marie McBreairty on June 17, 1998 in Plymouth, Connecticut. They would have been married 27 years this year.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Marie (McBreairty) Thomas, His stepsons Dwayne and his wife Lisa Thomas, Brock and wife Amy (Edwards) McBreairty, His stepdaughters Brianna Thomas, Melinda McBreairty and Jenny McBrearity all of Maine. One brother Bernard Thomas (whom he was very close to) and Bernard's children Tina and Thomas Theriault and Glen and Jean Thomas.

Earl was predeceased by his father and mother. One sister (? Her name). Step daughter Lisa and Lori Thomas of Connecticut, Step son Donald Gene McBrieary of Caribou, Sister in law Yvette Thomas of St. Francis, Me.

Earl had many step grandchildren; as well as many sisters and brothers in law that he loved and was adored by them.

He loved bluegrass music. He was in his glory going to the bluegrass festivals sitting around the camper listening to the conversations and the laughs. He loved being outdoors. His idea of a good time was puttering around or chatting with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.
