Gail Dunifer

BANGOR

Gail D. (Partridge) Dunifer, 80, of Hermon and Bangor passed unexpectedly July 14th, 2025 at EMMC. She was born June 23, 1945 in Bangor, daughter of Leonard Partridge and Mary (Dudley) Partridge.

Gail graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1963, shortly before her marriage to her high school sweetheart Albert "Pinky" Dunifer. She worked tirelessly as both a mother and in varying professions. She graduated Beal College Class of 1995. Diagnosed with cancer in 2014, she retired after ten years at Walmart. She fought over 10 years after being given only months to live. Often found enjoying a book, she was always ready with a pot of coffee for loved ones. She passed surrounded by her children.

Surviving are her four children, Jeffrey, Jason, Julie & Justin Dunifer; her four grandchildren Tyler, Stacey, Steven & Aurora Dunifer; four sisters, a brother and her many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Gail is predeceased by her husband, Albert; her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join at 3 p.m. July 26th, 2025, at Hermon Baptist Church, Pastor Scott Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. The family invites relatives and friends to gather and bring food for "pot-luck" at the church reception center, following the graveside service. Those who wish to send gifts or flowers to remember Gail may send them to the Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 Rt. 2, Hermon, ME 04401.
