In Loving Memory of Idris Leslie Lawrence

Idris Leslie Lawrence, of Glenburn, Maine, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 24, 2025. Born in Canada and raised in Presque Isle, he was the beloved son of Connie and Leslie Lawrence.

Idris graduated from Presque Isle High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring with honor on May 20, 2004. His dedication to service was matched only by his love for family and the quiet strength he carried through life.

He is survived by his parents, Connie and Leslie; his sisters, Violet (Sheldon Wilcox), Sandra (Kenneth Wells), Leslie (Keith Ireland), and Beck Lawrence; his grandsons, Justin MacDonald and Cole Woods; sister-in-law, Sandra Perrier-Albair (Bill Albair); and many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Idris was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Susan Perrier Lawrence; his son, John Lawrence; and his sister, Iris Lawrence Brown (Irvin Brown).

He also leaves behind dear friends Ben and Theresa Berry, whose kindness and support were a steady comfort in recent times.

A graveside service with Army Honors will be held at a later date in Fort Fairfield, where he will be laid to rest with dignity and honor.
