Our dear mother, Ingrid Ward Jamieson Wormell died February 12, 2026 in Limestone, Maine at the age of 96.
Ingrid was born June 7, 1929 to Franklin and Cora (Hamblen) Ward in Manset, Me. She started her teaching career on Cranberry Island. She married Milan Jamieson, Sr.(dec.) and moved to Edmunds to raise a family. Mrs. Jamieson taught at Plantation 14, Whiting, and Edmunds schools until retirement. After a few years of retirement, she married Earl Wormell (dec.) and started her 2nd career at the tax assessor's office in Calais.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Valerie Grimm of Texas and her son Stephen Jamieson of Texas; daughters-in-law Romelda Jamieson of Pembroke and Diane Jamieson of Limestone, son-in-law Roland Hayman of Sussex, NB; 12 grandchildren, lots of great and great-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers: Henry, Bill & Leslie Ward; four children: Milan Jamieson Jr, Marie Bowers, Frederick Jamieson & Dorothy Hayman and one grandchild Michael Jamieson.
Per her wishes, there will not be a public memorial service.
