Linda Gail Taylor

Linda Gail (Boyce) Taylor, born November 28, 1939, in Bangor, Maine, died July 21, 2026, peacefully with her family by her side.

She was the daughter of Franklin and Phyllis (Stone) Boyce. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Everett Costain, and her sister Pamela Crosby.

Linda is survived by her children: Evelyn (Don) Murphy, Edmond (Cindy) Philbrook, Dwayne Philbrook and Betsy (Ken) Eveland. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her special friends, Tracy Williamson, John & Lynn Bunn and Lynn's dog Bobo.

Over the years Linda worked a variety of jobs. One of her favorites was helping residents of a group home for women in Bangor. She also did volunteer work with EMMC, reaching out to the elderly who were homebound. She made many friends volunteering, especially with the Bangor Chapter of Zonta International woman's group.

 Linda found beauty in the simple pleasures of life. She loved taking long drives through the countryside, admiring beautiful flowers, and spending time with babies and animals. She had a deep appreciation for nature and treasured every opportunity for adventures. She enjoyed meeting new people and exploring new places. 

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 27 from 6-8pm at High Tide Restaurant Event Room for those who wish to express their memories and condolences.
