Marjorie Mae (Luce) Burns passed away on October 11, 2026. She was born on May 21, 1938, in New Portland, Maine, and grew up in Kingfield, Maine, where she attended the local schools.

Marjorie enjoyed skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain with her siblings and friends, creating memories she cherished throughout her life. Marjorie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much happiness.

Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, Lawrence Burns; her brothers, Harry and Clint; and her sisters, Maxine and Dottie.

She is survived by her son, Terry, and his partner, Nancy; her daughter, Michele, and her husband, Casey; her daughter, Kimberly; her stepdaughters, Deborah and Amanda; and her daughter-in-law, Annie. She also leaves behind her little sister, Catherine Phee, of Bartow, Florida, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family and the precious moments spent with them will be treasured. Her love for her family and the special place she held in their lives will never be forgotten.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her "favorite" ladies who cared for her at Avita of Stroudwater. If you were her favorite, she made sure to let you know!

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Orono, Maine, at a later date.
