CARIBOU

Mark Quintilliani passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on September 30, 2026, just after celebrating his 69th birthday.

Born on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, Mark was raised in Caribou, Maine, where his love for sports began. He often shared memories of playing Caribou Little League. His passion for sports continued throughout his life, including as an avid sports card collector. Baseball was his favorite and his team the Boston Red Sox, whether they won or lost.

Mark loved exploring the state of Maine, camping and traveling from Mount Desert Island to Oquossoc and everywhere in between. He especially enjoyed camping deep in the woods and traveling the Golden Road. If he wasn't watching sports, he loved being outside. Bird hunting was a favorite and he could cook a delicious partridge.

Music was another of Mark's great loves. He enjoyed all kinds of music, but Aerosmith held a special place in his heart, and he attended their concerts many times over the years. His love of music even found its way into one of the most meaningful parts of his life. He named his daughter, Alexis, after a James Gang song.

Mark took pride in his appearance and it gave him a presence all his own. His striking hazel eyes were unforgettable, and they will remain a treasured memory for all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his only daughter, his pride and joy, Alexis Quintilliani, her fiance, Samir and Samir's son, Savine. He is also survived by his sister, Tracie Bragdon, and her husband Gary; his nieces and nephews, Jenna, Joey, and Darcy; and his great-niece, Rylynn. He is further survived by his brother, John; his niece, Tammie; his half sister, Jess Pero; and his lifelong friend, Sam Kelley.

Mark was predeceased by his mother and father, Betty and Jack, his half brother, Josh, and his nephew, Joel.

Although his marriage to a member of the Erickson family ended, his connection to the family never did. Mark remained a cherished part of the family, holding a special fondness for the Ericksons and treasuring the connection they continued to share throughout the years.

Mark will be remembered for his love of sports, his enjoyment of Maine's outdoors, the memories he made with those closest to him, and those unmistakable hazel eyes that will never be forgotten.
