Richard 'Dick' Goodman lost his fight with cancer on August 1, 2026. Born in Manchester, NH, to William and Wilma Goodman, he lived a long and full life with a varied career path.
Dick enjoyed playing sax in his high school dance band as well as in the USAF band. Volunteering for My Friends' Place gave him joy, as did helping out his friends when he was able. Above all, he took care of his family. Here are a few of his favorite things: the ocean (especially playing on the beach with his grandchildren), the Red Sox, classical jazz, his family; shooting baskets, playing chess, walking his dog, talking, playing piano, reading (history, philosophy and religion), Rockey movies, Cribbage, travel (nine European countries), Harry Potter, Broadway theater, retirement, friends, and mince pie.
He leaves behind his wife, Janet; children, David, Gale and Julie; grandchildren, Liza, Jonathan, Thomas, Addison, Ben and Molly; and his best dog, Georgie.
He is missed.
