Hermon - Robert F. Farrar, 94, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Robert was born on March 26, 1931, to Ralph and Ruth (Waycott) Farrar. He was married to Jeanette Overlock on May 21,1956.
He honorably served in the Army starting July 11, 1952. He was a 1977 graduate of Wallingford High School, where he earned his diploma through night school. For 25 years, Robert worked at the American Cyanamid Company chemical plant in Wallingford, Connecticut.
A man of many talents, he loved playing the guitar, harmonica, piano, and violin. Above all, he was a gifted painter, specializing in landscapes. He was known for his sharp wit and as a storyteller, and he took great care of his family.
He is survived by his sons, Stuart and Bryan Farrar, and his grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Farrar.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Deeper Worship Center, 391 North Main Street, Brewer, Maine 04401.
