Roy Reebe

Waterville- Roy Arthur Reebe, age 64, a longtime resident of Waterville, Maine passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center from long term cardiac related issues.

Roy was born in Staten Island, New York and his family moved to Natick, Mass. in the summer of 1963 due to his father's work transfer from Bethlehem Steel Co. in New York to their Boston location.

Roy was the fifth of six children born to Dorothy Winters Reebe and George William Reebe Sr. Roy grew up in Natick and attended Lilja Elementary school, Wilson Junior High School and graduated from Natick High School in the class of 1978. Roy enjoyed his summers in Mass. at the local lakes and state parks with his siblings swimming, playing stick and wiffle ball, and running the neighborhood with lots of the neighborhood kids.

After high school Roy lived in Framingham, Mass. for several years, and he also lived on Martha's Vineyard before making Maine his final place to call home. Roy loved Maine and all that nature had to offer him there. He enjoyed hunting in the winters, a past time that was one of his Dad's favorites as well.

Roy was preceded in his death by his father, George; his mother, Dorothy; his stepfather, Donald; his sister, Patricia; and his sister, Barbara.

He is survived by his daughter, Penelope Reebe of Williams, AZ; his brother, George and wife, Kathy Reebe of Millis, MA; his brother, Ronny and wife, Mary of Natick, MA; and his sister, Linda and husband Andrew Aurigema of Oak Hill, FL. He is also survived by his most cherished & adored niece Suzanne Gromek of Cocoa, FL; his niece, Dorothy Gromek of Cocoa, FL; and nephew, John and his wife, Nicole Gromek of Waterville, ME; several nieces in MA, VA, and MD, and many great nieces and nephews in FL, ME and MA.

A celebration of life will be planned by the family (at a later date) and Roy's ashes will be laid to rest in Maine and Massachusetts.
