Verle M. Sirois

Verle Sanborn Sirois, born November 13, 1936, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026 after a brief illness at the age of 89. Her last few weeks were spent in hospice care at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Old Town. She was happy and content, enjoying her beautiful view of their backyard, with her family by her side.

Verle was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She loved sewing, baking, and tackling numerous home improvement projects. With a cup of tea in hand, she would sit on her porch to watch the birds in her flower garden.

Verle was predeceased by her parents, Harry 'Bud' Sanborn and Laura Girard Sanborn. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Franklin W. Sirois Sr.; daughter, Sheila Sirois Covey and her husband, Mark; sons, Franklin 'Bill' Sirois Jr. and his wife, Janice; John Sirois and his wife, Darra; beloved grandson, Jason Sirois; grandchildren, Craig Douglas and his wife, Heather, Adam Sirois and his wife, Ashley, Nicole Martin and her husband, Steve; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Sirois, Vicki Runion and her husband, Ron, Sharon Arnold and her husband, Randy; brother, Craig Sanborn and his wife, Susan; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospice for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.

At Verle's request, there will be no formal service. A family gathering will be planned at a later date.
